Computer Information Systems |
My first semester at in a bachelor degree in information
systems helped me learn about the fundamental concepts in this field. This
level of program is categorized as an undergraduate program and is one of the
primary degree qualifications one can earn in information systems. The program entails
numerous courses such as foundations of information technology, database
management systems, applications development, enterprise technology,
microcomputer applications, business applications development, and information
system analysis design. Most of these courses are studied in computer labs
where students can gain hands on experience and develop technical skills. For
those who are working and can’t find time to attend campus based classes, online information systems degrees are
a great alternative. In online programs, you won’t have to go to the campus,
and can study from the comfort of your home.
When considering what you can do with a management information systems degree, the job opportunities
are never ending. With a bachelor degree you can look forward to jobs such as
network engineers, administrators, information technology consultants, systems
developer, and web developers. The annual income for these professionals ranges
between $37,000 and $80,000.
